The errors are no big deal. I was able to watch the whole release with no problems. Wierd packing on this rls though, with the corrupt auth. information and 20mb rars.

it happens because the packer had the option checked in winrar to 'add authenticity information' or whatever it's called when the files were rarred up. cracked versions of winrar won't supply proper authenticity info, so it always gives that error when somebody goes to unpack it.

but as mentioned above, you can safely ignore the error messages, it won't affect the decompressed files at all.

... for those of you asking "how can this be from a dvdr when it says workprint', it's because the name of the release group is DVDR, that's not a description of the source type.

since this release isn't nuked on good sites despite the fact that it is apparently a dupe of DVDR, i'm assuming that the DVDR release just didn't propogate. maybe because they're not affilled with any major sites, or because it was actually originally released to usenet (which happens occasionally, and when it does it's most likely a limited release that the major pregroups just didn't have a supplier for), or whatever. (i'm basing this on the above reports which imply that the DVDR release was proper and not nukable for cause).

as for reencodes of dvdr to divx, that's really only an issue for non-pregroups (as mentioned above). pregroups who have access to dvd supply generally align themselves in tightly affiliated sets (often sharing many of the same group members, such that in a practical sense it's really one major group and a couple of subgroups -- basically it's done that way simply because 3 groups get more sites & slots than 1 group does -- which include a dvdr release group, an svcd release group, and a divx release group; or, more rarely, a single group will themselves just release all three formats). as a rule, for anything released 'pre' the only ones who need to ask for permission to reencode the dvdr are the eu and asian groups who release versions wuth non-english audio or subs (tho for the most part the pregroups could care less about what happens in that sub-scene anyway, so generally the only ones who fight over whether or not they had permission are the non-english groups themselves).

IT's BuLLeT TiME!

First, let me rate the quality of the release, as that's what I'm supposed to do:
Video was slightly blurry, looks like it's from a VHS screener. Watchable, but not great. Audio was good. Not very crisp, but not hissy either. Just sorta flat.

Video - 6
Audio -7

Now, from what I understand, the purpose of a movie is to make some sort of POINT. The point may be agreeable, or disagreeable based on the viewer, but nethertheless, it still is a point. With that said, THIS IS THE MOST POINTLESS MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN. The whole time I was watching it, I was wondering WHY this movie was even MADE. The money it took to make this movie should have been sent to "Feed The Children", or some other such organization. This movie gave a new meaning to the word "ridiculous". The plot was empty, the storyline was empty, and the "jokes" were completely asinine. There was NOTHING funny about this movie. Every single attempt at humor FAILED.

Movie - 2

I guess it just pisses you off then that it's making by far more money than movies in which have a great plot and are rather good. Not to mention, this movie hasn't been released everywhere, it's somewhat limited as to where it's shown.

Video - 6 - Kinda blurry, but watchable
Audio - 8 - It's somewhat hollow in a sense, but very clear
Movie - 9 - I loved this movie, and with working at the theater I've seen hundreds enjoy it each showing.. it's funny as hell

JUst watched this movie, very funny. I had the weird authentiction errors, but the bin/cues extracted fine. However, the video was VERY jumpy on my cds.It seemed that the audio and video would constantly go out of synch. vid a bit blurry too, but not as bad as the synch issue.

4/7/9
