i'm constanly amazed at the absolute lack of creativity you people show even in your insults. you're sucking this group's cock, take that group's cock out of your mouth, you're a dumbass, haha you fucking n00b. booooorrrrrrinnnnnngg.
jesus, the art of the flame really is dead, isn't it?
if you're going to flame, do it with finesse, show a little style. as it is, most of you exhibit all the sublime qualities of a pre-pubescent boy, who, upon coming home from school to find his mother unexpectedly absent, begins running about the room shouting "fuck!" and giggling to himself that there's no one to spank him for it.
it's no accomplishment to attack someone else online, nor does it demonstrate anything about your boldness or lack of giving-a-fuck about what others think, or whatever else it is that fits in with the ubercool image of yourself that you're failing so miserably to project; after all, you *are* only confronting them online, so it's not like there's much chance that the person you're calling a cocksucker or whatnot will wait for you down at the bus stop tomorrow to kick your pasty little ass, and we know that as well as you do. the only real way you have to distinguish yourself in this sort of community is by what you contribute to it. anything else is just noise.
those who moderate forums or administer discussion boards have a certain distinction, by virtue of their 'position'; and this often creates in the uninitiated a sort of hyper-active combination of resentment, rebellion, and jealousy. what is rarely understood is that such positions are largely a matter of devoting one's time and energy to a task that is 90% tedium, filled with repetitive, tiring, and time-consuming enforcement of simple rules that are constantly broken, with a few interspersed sparks of interesting discussion. they pay for the place, they try to keep it straightened up, they try to keep it somewhat interesting, and they do all of the rest of the thankless work that it takes to maintain a public forum, with doors wide open for any random asswipe to come along and spout his opinion.
those workers deserve a measure of your respect, if only because you obviously find the environment that they create & maintain worthy of your own time, or you wouldn't be here. if you are here, admit to yourself that you find something of value in what they've done, and try to conduct yourself as though you were a guest in their homes -- as. in a sense, you are exactly that.
if you're going to bother coming here, then don't act the part of the spoiled brat, who stomps around eating things out of the refrigerator, drinking all of the soda & eating up the snacks that are set out on the table, tosses the wrappers on the floor, gets bored, sulks a bit and talks shit about how "there's nothing to do here, this place is lame", says "fuck this, i'm out of here", and goes home to masturbate desperately on the toilet seat (trying not to make too much noise), finally skulking off to his bedroom to sleep -- only to show up at your house again the next day, to do the very same thing. you little shits know exactly what i'm talking about. so don't get all huffy.
the reason that people bother to maintain a discussion-based community is in hopes of actually generating some worthwhile discussion, or to learn or share something, or at least to have a little fun. it need not be some high-flown intellectual conversation, you don't have to be "serious" about everything; but it'd be nice if you could bring a bit of personality along with you -- that is, one other than that of a lumpish gray slug, who slimes about in the corners of the room & occasionally disgusts someone.
if what you've got to contribute is a particularly nasty flame toward someone who obviously deserves it, or to call attention to the hypocrisy or pandering of others, so be it! go to it, and make 'em remember you when you're done. i'll laugh my ass off if someone can manage to put someone down without making themselves look like an idiot in the process, and it'll have been worth the price of admission.
it's that not making yourself look like an idiot part that seems to stump most of you, which is just pathetic. pull yourselves together, for christ's sake! it's embarrassing.
