The simplest way to convert is to let ulead moviefactory convert them for you(best to set it up before you go to bed as it will take time). Then if you want you can use tmpgenc or any encoder you want and convert it to your own taste. The picture quality was good, the sound has the "filter" hiss of noise removal. 8/6.5/8

In the mind of reality!

ok this is the final post for all who want this to convert to dvd. First use Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder and Re-Encode the Mpegs to new svcd mpegs. Then demultiplex with TMPGenc. place the m2v and mp2 files into TMPGEnc Xpress and convert to NTSC DVD all 3 disc seperately..that way you can fix the audio to make sure in sync, next use the regular TMPGEnc and combine the three DVDmpegs to one file.

Note: Be Sure To convert each of the mpeg2 to only use 30% of the disc or less...to make sure that once they are combined they will fit on the dvdr.

Next make menus with DVD Movie Factory V.3 and burn.

Once thats done..rating goes up..9/10/7

I used MainConcept MPEG Encoder and when I played the movie, it was still messed up. The words were behind the picture a little bit. Anyone tried any of the mentioned ideas and have had them fully work? I have yet to find a fix for the movie..

Thanks!

yeah I know read my instructions carefully it said you can adjust the audio with TMPGEnc XPRESS...easy fix, during the svcd to dvd mpeg2 conversion.

well i have been trying some things out. managed to resample the audio, but cant get the video source to work. tmpgenc wont even demultiplex cd2 and 3 because it doesnt see the video stream. when i used svcd2dvdmpg to resample the audio and demultiplex, it gave me the video stream. tried again to import that into tmpgenc and it it gave me an error for invalid video stream.

just a note on this. first thanks for the ideas. i used mainconcept as you said to make new svcd's and tmpgenc to demultiplex. then i used tmpgenc xpress to make dvd-mpg and fix the audio.

NOTE: one previous post said to use audio correction of -2000 for cd2 and -1650 for cd3. i found these values to be way off, at least in TMPGENC Xpress. for me a value of -1000 for boths cd2 and cd3 yeilded a near perfect sync.

I alos wanted to note its not necessary to make dvd-mpg's of cd2 and cd3 separarely and later combine them with tmpenc. TMPGENC Xpress can convert all three files at once, with audio corrections, and output to a single dvd-mpg file at the end, saving you one step. hope this helps. i'll be doing this conversion overnight now b/c it takes quite a while, but i tested the sync on 2 min samples and they worked fine.
