Temp music?

Sorry if someone has mentioned this already, but I didn't have time to dig through 130+ posts...

About a third of the music in the workprint is from Peter Gabriel's "Last Temptation of Christ" score. Anyone know where the rest of the temp score comes from, or what Elfman's actual score sounds like?

I liked the movie quite a bit, but I don't think it will have quite the crossover appeal as something like "Spider-Man" or even "X2." Lee made an Ang Lee movie first, a comic book movie second, and a summer, popcorn action flick dead last.

I'm very curious to see this in a theater now, with all of the sfx and real music applied. Anyone think (beyond their personal desires for edits) that the final cut of the film will be significantly different from this?

Smile Hulkie

This is a 2 week pre of one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, what more can we ask for? Sure there are some "bloopers" but it is a workprint. Video was dark but just as good as some of the VHS screeners Ive gotten......6.5

Now, as for the Audio, on my PC, both channels are mied and it sounds good.....7. As for after its burnt to VCD, WHAT HAPPENED?! I hear most voices and nearly no sound effects. When I turn it up to a deafening roar, I can hear, faintly, some of the music but the voices are nearly unbearable. So after the burn its about a 4.

Regarding the actual movie, I think its what Hulk is all about. And I agree, that any franchise is going to need some "character development". And to those complaining about the lack of the Hulk for the first bit of the movie, must have never seen the series with Bixby/Ferrigno, Hulk only appeared twice for about 30 seconds each time, once near the middle and once during the last 10 mins. Anyhoo, Ill spend my loot to take the family to see this one, I give the it an 8.

By the way, any help on the sound prob after burning would be greatly appreciated.

Man, I wish what I dl'd looked anywhere nearly as good as the sample JPG!

Anyway, first half of the movie is a snorefest, I recommend coming into the movie about halfway through, maybe watch the Hulk vs. Thor TV movie and then watch it. The second half, well, the CG Hulk is a disaster IMO, seems to be smarter and more deliberate than I remember the Hulk of old ever being, and the jumping, will it ever end? Hulk looks like a sick, bloated Pillsbury Doe Boy who just hit puberty, and why does he always look like he's got that toy car from the Jackass Movie shoved up his sphincter?

I did find the occasional disappearing CG purple shorts humorous, if only they would leave it that way for the theatrical release, I bet it would wake people up to realize that they're checking out a big green asscheek on the screen.

All in all, a very disappointing movie that I was totally looking forward to. Actors are uninspiring, they all seemed to just be there for a paycheck...oh wait, they were all just there for a paycheck! Talk about the biggest roundup of has-beens and never-weres in a single movie since Canonball Run 2! Hopefully The League of Gentleman will be more exciting.

I give it a 5/4/2

just finished watching this, and sniff everything is cool but the damn story line, boring! hulk's main enemy is just absolutely ludicrous, and especially the final fight. i think ang lee did a great job, the split screens were cool, but it was the damn writers fault. cd1 was okay, started getting boring in the middle of cd2 and on. i'll go watch this on the big screen definitely to see how it looks and turns out.

based on the whole movie, not sample

5 / 5 / 6

picture was a bit gross throughout the whole movie since it was a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of the workprint.

audio was blah, voice on one side and the music on the other, even with mono selected it didn't work to well. the music was too loud to make clear the dialogues at times.

this is cool to have if you are a collector, i'll definitely check to see what changes they made in the final movie.

I've been readin AICN since it opened back in 96-97 and that article they posted bout the the HULK WORKPRINT is the biggest load of hypocritical @$Q# ever. The whole site became famous for finding every way in the book on getting access to movies early on. Hell they even reviewed a bootleg of AOTC 2 months before the movie came out, looks like their gettin po'd strictly cause the early reviews are comin back negative...............

:: cheers for the link to, i made a post about it here - http://www.vcdquality.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21149 - pHo

Hulk Sucks

Great time on the release couldn't ask for much better for such an early release. Video looks like a used VHS tape and the sound was good compared to other early releases.

eh?

Nobody noticed the fact that you dont get to see Hulk attacking the dogs in between discs and the ending seems a little incomplete just see the hulk smash into a wall then its over. Didnt like that too much.

Looks like we got a lot of Steven Segal fans in here.......

Oh well. Most of these types wouldn't know good acting or story lines/ plot development if it walked up and punched them in the nose. This movie rocked! It was the best movie I've seen in the last 5 years. No doubt it will rule the year as far as grosses go and Spiderman will fall.

Just watched the release.

Video is watchable.. not the best but not terrible either. The black bars on the lower right hand side corner are pretty small and hardly noticable after like 2 minutes.

the sound is pretty mediocre. They should have it through a few filters to clean it up better.

The hulk himself is just stupid lookin.

anyhow, for a pre thats 2 weeks early... i'd say it's pretty damn good.

6/5/5

well what can i say....... x men was ok'ish, spiderman was good, daredevil wes getting there, x2 was v good but the hulk was by far the best ever. for the 1st time i acctually felt as though i was watching a marvel movie the way its edited is pure genius.
ok its a workprint and no way is the 1st half gonna b as long, and there is sound effects and cgi unfinished but no way did it affect the movie for me.
video 6, better than i expected
audio 5, clear but seperated on to 2 channels music on right and sound effects and dialogue on left.

movie 10!!!!!!!!!!

all i have to say now is roll on the ctp ts. p.s no angle please.

People, this is a workprint. How can you post a review about something which isn't even finished? Anyways, I watched the so called "quality" of this movie and sorry to say it will get poor marks since it is a workprint.

Hats off – Good release

6/6/Please GOD make me a bird so I can fly far far away!!!

This is a complete disgrace to any avid comic book reader in the past 30 years.

COMIC BOOK MOVIES should be about the characters and stay true to their origin! True to their Continuity! True to the fans that made this character even in contention to be a movie.

I waited after seeing a special screening of the film inNYC on monday to view the workprint. What's on the workprint is basically very close to the final cut of the movie with some fx and sound missing. For the workprint I give it a 6 for video quality and a 5 for the audio. As for the movie , this is far superior to daredevil and spiderman....
