Why doesn't the site implement a policy of banning people who continually posts outrageous ratings for movies?
Here's an example:

People like this are for whatever reason undermining the site. The excuse of it balacing out when others post complete opposite to them (1/1/1) instead of (10/10/10) is flawed because it's giving a movie a (5.5/5.5/5.5) no matter what the quality is.
Why not implement a policy of a warning for a first time obvious offender and a user/domain ban if a second warning is required?

Look Moron just get the movie yourself and dont worry about the rating system. Download the sample if you have axxes to it(you probably dont)and make your own judgement wether or not to grab it.

There is no reason for you to start attacking people for bringing up a perfectly good issue about the rating system. I for one don't trust it, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be left alone to corruption, if you don't rely on it either, fine state your opinion and try leaving the flames out of it.

I was not flaming just stating an opinion and as far as the rating system goes I think it should be scrapped really most people dont even see the damn thing or even the sample and vote so fuck it scrap it

I think the best way to go is to get a handful of unbiased people to rate the quality of the movies instead of the current rating system.Then you would actually know what a rating of 5 or 7 was actually going to be like.I'm sure there are lots of people that would be interest in rating movies.Plus have the person rating the movie have their name beside it.
To those who think that the voting system is flawed:
Understand that when relying upon someone else's opinion you have to open yourself up to people who do not think like you do. If we ban people who vote 10/10 then what about the guy who voy 10/9 or 8/8. As long as we allow people to vote there has to be a max. Move the max to 8 and you are just limiting the scope of ratings that are available for a movie.
I say there is entirely too much conerstaiuon about this that could be easily be squelched by limiting the nick list of who voted how to moderators. All public systems are subject to abuse. Deal with it. I dont want to lose the votes and think they are pretty damn accurate for most releases.

Please quit bellyaching about the voting, you cant fix it unless you limit voting to approved judges and even then human nature dictates a weak link. Anyone remember the winter olympic skating judges ?
