Review: Just Married (2003) w/ Ashton Kutcher
For the past month, if you had a TV, you might have seen a commercial for the new romantic comedy called Just Married.
Real Life couple, Ashton Kutcher(That 70's Show) and Brittany Murphy (Don't Say a Word) headlining this new movie from the director of Big Fat Liar, Shawn Levy.
Kutcher plays Tom Leezak, a blue-collar wannabe sportscaster who meets the Rich, in the form of cute, art student, Sarah McNerney, when he tags her in the head with a football on the beach, while she walks her dog.
They romance, and get married, and head to their honeymoon in Europe.
Unfortunately this movie never deads anywhere, as Kutcher tries to overplay and make the script something the movie unfortunately is not, funny.
There are a few moments, of a few chuckles, all seen in the previews of the movie, where at a run down hotel. he and Sarah crash through a wall and onto the bed next door, where another couple are having sex.
The plot tries to take a turn, when Sarah's ex boyfriend, Peter (played by newcomer Christian Kane) tries deperately to win her back.
Just Married proves one thing, real life couples, mostly and should never work together.
Just Married is 1 Hour and 30 minutes long and is rated PG-13 for language, sexual situations.
My rating: 3 out of 10.
