Source code availablity?

Do you make the source code available? Looking for the code for the nfo.php script. Found others that work, but this is by far the best implimentation. It handles the ANSI characters much better than any of the crap I've found on zend.com or php.net

Thumbs up I agree

this would be excellent.

P.S. I've been looking around for NFO parsing scripts...what were some of the other ones you've found? I can't seem to find any...google isn't being very helpful.

Re: I agree

I haven't found any PHP scripts worth using so I built one which uses ANSI2PNG (http://www.rootshell.be/~mparsons/ansi.php) I'm on a Linux box so this works nice for me. There is also a Windows EXE of it. It does a very nice job of what I need it to do, which is take NFO & DIZ files and convert them over to PNGs.

Actually this was the easy part, the rest of my script unrar's or unzips files find the NFO/DIZ's does an MD5, if unique dumps them into a mysql db, creates a PNG and then dumps that into the same database. Mainly using it for personal use to sort though the MOUNTAIN of crap I download on a daily basis.

One thing that I found after creating this is that 99.9999% of the VCDs/Divx I get DON'T HAVE NFO FILES! DOH!

enh, don't flame me, but I was looking around for something along the lines of a PHP script. Though, I can easilly use this from PHP. I am pretty lousy at C++ (otherwise, I would mod this myself), but I'd love it if it was slightly more configurable (different BG color, etc...). But this is still great.

But still...anyone have a PHP script for this??

Nah... No flames. Look.. I'm the one who couldn't figure out how to write it in PHP in the first place.

Super, Duper Moderator

It's a custom script, use php's image handling features *hint*

Is it a freeware?

So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy....

odds are it's not freeware (if by freeware you mean publicly available), since he mentioned it was a custom script (usually means someone designed it for them). If it's publicly available is up to the creator or user of the script.

I am pretty good at PHP, and I could easilly use the image functions to do something like this. But, it'd be pretty helpful to me to know which characters (in the actual .NFO (or ANSI text, for that matter)) convert to what designs in the final image.

yea, I can imagine that. But, that wasn't my question. Is there some site that shows what ASCII symbol goes to what corresponding image bit?

Sorry, I'm kinda bad with this stuff. But I have the knowledge to do it, I just don't know what symbols are what.
