Very dark, not sure if its just the scene, but still dark. THe counter is annoying, but great pre! The sound is normal for a VHS Screener. Nothing exceptional.

Mad love for a pre-scr. Counter is wobbly as hell and the print itself is a touch blurred. But shit, this is superb nonetheless.

just finished watching it.. pretty good. not as good as i had hoped. great for a pre-limited, though. was more comical than scary i thought. overall i'm pleased.

at least we'll now know which rumour is true ::

1. universal dropped the movie because it was far too gory and realistic, and the NC17 certificate was too much.

2. universal dropped it because it was a pile of shit, and nothing more than a feature length promo video for zombie.

im hoping the first, but im kinda believing the 2nd.

sample looks magnificant for a 2 month pre SCREENER! i have been waiting on this movie for about 1 1/2 years, zombie is a sick and twisted man, the skits on Hellbilly Deluxe or whatever almost made me shit my pants, this outta be a fun ride!!

Universal Studios dropped the movie after chairman, Stacey Snider, saw a screening of an unfinished version of the film in February 2001. Snider said, "When I looked at the cumulative effect of the entire film, it was clear that the best version of the movie would end up getting an NC-17 rating, and we felt that would make the marketing and distribution of the movie impossible for us."
