hi i have a sony dvp-s560d and it doesnt read vcds, even thought it says it can. do i have to use a special type of cd or do something eles???

you're not trying to play svcd's are you as vcd and svcds are not the same. as far as compatability goes on standalones.there is a header trick to fool most vcd only players just search for previous threads or browse
