Screener is pretty good quality, video isn't all as clear as it could be but still good. Audio is good though it seemed to not be as crisp as it could have been. 7/7/?

got the sample...very decent for a VHSrip...the Paramount watermark shouldn't be too much of a problem. Sound was decent.

Why, oh why did it have to be VideoCD who released this, I just watched it on my standalone this morning and quality was OK but it has the usual motion blur effect where everyone has a shadow/ghost during fast movement. Thank god there isn't too much fast motion, the colors are also washed out compared to when I saw it in the theatre. Source looks good but video encoding seems sort of blurred and audio was good on my end except for the little muffle effect. The movie itself is great imo, it has a little twist at end. Good Job VideoCD but come on guys, fix the motion blur. 6/6/9

Bet ya cant guess

Dude, it's only like 2 or 3 weeks after nation wide release, this is as good as it's gonna get until a *proper* comes out or dvdscr or dvd rip

There encoding skills are awsome because the source sure as hell isn't gonna look much better

Actually it can get better but there will probably be no proper, I don't see why there would be because it's rare to see a proper unless there was something technically wrong with the release (unfortunately subpar quality isn't one of them) or if it was nuked. And honestly, a bunch of the kids on this forum can care more about how fast a movie comes out to show off to their buddies but I like to watch quality releases (especially after watching it on the big screen) which is probably why I have the patience to wait for most screeners or dvdrips. VideoCD's encoding skills have improved but it is far from awesome, motion blur doesn't come naturally on a video tape btw and boosting saturation in TMPGEnc can help. Just my tips to the encoder 6/6/9

Ending please?

The quality on this is much better than the Verity TS that I already have. I'm not going to d/l the full version until a dvdrip comes out (as it will soon cause this is a LImited). According to sample I think it's good. I didn't notice the blurriness discussed here really, as it is a VHS screener I think the colors are better than normal. And most of the watermarks could be removed with cropping in TMPGEnc without losing any picture as they are in the widescreen bars.
But the TS I have just stops at the end with "I don't know what will happen tomorrow....but what I do know this" and then it just stops. Is that really the way it ends, or does he say something else.? Please someone e mail me or message me through here, or type it in (it's prolly not too much of a spoiler I'm sure). Being an indie flick it may stop right there though, who knows?
Thanks for your help
MrSin

It ends suddenly like that to keep the audience guessing, quite a few movies have taken this approach like The Rules of Attraction. I think Fear and Loathing did also but I can't quite remember.

B18C5, why don't you join VideoCD and teach them how to encode?

Great release, quick, good job.
