Thumbs down The Matrix Reloaded *potential Spoilers*

Now I am prolly gonna get flamed by a bunch of Matrix bum boys for this but here goes.

Now for me The Matrix was superb, i really enjoyed it.

I went to see it on opening day because the trailors I had seen showed you nothing, so it was a unknown. With that being the case with the original movie, it was allways going to be hard for the Sequal to be as good, because we all knew what to expect.

This review may contain potential spoilers, however I will try not to make them to big and i doubt its nothing you havent allready read here or elsewhere.

The movie itself may not be all that bad, I have a great hatred for this "We will just use to be concluded...." the LOTR series did it, so now we have it with the Matrix.

If I had paid to see this I would be even more pissed off.

Trilogys that have come before seem to have a complete story in Part 1 and 2, you know its going to be continued some of the time but atleast they wrapped up the story.

The Matrix 2 however feel's it dosent need to explain the story, as people will watch the third installment, so it ends on a "To Be concluded"

the only film i can think off (of the top of my head) that ends like this is Back to the fture 2, however the diffrence is that had a complete story, if they hadent of included the car being hit by lightning the story was still complete, you didnt have to see Part 3 to understand Part 2.

Anyways Rant over on how they did it.

On the whole i didnt find the plot as confusing as some people did, when I was reading reviews and people where saying things like "Its confusing" i was expecting a thoughtful movie, and some of the scenes where.

I thought the scene with the counciller was pretty good, but on the whole things where develeped but never taken any father.

Keano's acting goes from bad to worse, I think they could have easily replaced him with a cardboard cut out half the time, and its a possibility that most of the time he is cgi anyways.

The Special effect's however do warrent the price of a ticket into the cinema, Bullettime felt old and overly used but one thing you cant really slate the film on is the effect's.

A few tmes (most noticbly during the 100's Smiths Vs. Neo scene) it looked a big to computer generated, maybe the machine running the matrix didnt have enough power to draw and texture all the body's , but 99% of the movies special effects where stunning.

But the reason this one has not lived up to the hype is simply because it is nowhere near as god as the oiginal, we all know very few sequals are, but this is a long was short of the original.

Various points things are touched upon and then never covered again, I look forward to seeing Part 3 as hopefully it will explain more of what was happening in Part 2. I just expected a complete movie with a cliff hanger (BTTF2 ect...) but instead got half a movie, and it appeared the script had no intrest in making sure it wasent filled with holes as they may know the third one covers it and people will go and see the third one.

Overall its entertaining, but nowhere near as good as the original, and I really do hope the third on its better, time will tell.

7.5/10

hehe hi ;-)

Thats just it, weither you like it or not, the brothers decided 2 and 3 were to be considered one movie, not just "parts" 2 and 3.

Which is why they filmed them back to back, the movies happen in a limited timeframe, something about 4-5 days. Revolutions will pick up right where reloaded left.

Here's something me and darkslide found out!

Reloaded brings questions

Revolutions brings answers.

I totally agree thats why i gave it a 7.5

If the third brings about the answers then of course it will be better.

Myself I just dont like this whole "Film 1 movie and just split it in 2"

But that is just my opinion

Consider the answers already.

There are 2 matrixes, the real world and the matrix itself. Neo stops the sentinels because he came to realise this. The "real world" is merely another control to keep the humans locked up. Neo merely sees this at the end...now i wonder if this is right
