Supreme Movie Overlord

Talking Review: (2003) Hollywood Homicide-Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett

Been a little tied up lately, sorry here is my official review of this movie. Enjoy.

Harrison Ford is back in a new cop buddy action movie, which should put him back in the limelight of movie making.

From the Director of White Men Can't Jump, Rob Shelton, Ford, plays a Hollywood Homicide Police Detective, Joe Galvin, who not only fights crime, sells real estate as well, which is used for the humor of the movie, and it works for the very best.

His Partner in this movie, is played by young hearthrob Josh Hartnett (Pearl Harbor), a young detective who also teaches yoga, to a bunch of young women on his off duty time.

They are both called in to investigate a quadruple homicide, where rival rap groups, are gunned down while working for a Recorder Producer, played by rap superstar Master P.

Despite the idicracy of the plot, I like Hollywood Homicide for the humor in involves in making of the movie.

Especially the interrogation scene, where I could not help but laugh uncontrollaby.

Harrison Ford is a one of the kind actor, and he gets a good character development throughout the movie, romancing a self professed Psychic played by the still ravishing Lena Olin.

And a good side sparring with an Internal Affairs investigator played by Bruce Greenwood (Double Jeopardy).

There is even good side performances, from Gladys Knight, and if you miss is, Lou Diamond Phillips, dressed in drag as Wanda.

Hollywood Homicide is rated PG-13 for violence and language.

My Rating: a 8 out of 10.

Got Blunt?

ya i liked this movie, only problem i had with your review is that, master p isnt the recorder producer, he just owns the club where they got shot at. The record producer's name was Sartain, idk his real name. I especially liked the interrogation scene too, pretty funny.

Thanks for the 411, oops you are right, I am not into the rap scene. so i don't know what Master P looks like, he was the guy that wanted to buy that old guys house, Martin Landau.

The record producer Sartain was played by a good actor, he was in Biker Boyz Isiah Washington.

I wasn't nuts about it, but it was enjoyable. At least it was better than Showtime, which I had much HIGHER expectations for as Robert DeNiro + Eddie Murphy. (AT THE TIME...note...A-T-T-H-E-T-I-M-E) I'm getting sick of all these buddy action/comedies.

He was I didn't notice him, what character was he in Biker Boyz?

I thought the movie was just awful, it had some dry humor but the movie as a whole was not so good.

i liked this one...kinda like the next gen lethal weapon, but they were both white

not to heavy on the thinking, and the action was unshitty, not great, not awful in every sense...

glad to see ford hasn't lost his sense of humour.

personally, i'd say 7/10
