quote: Not to be a poopy, but I was a little disappointed in the picture quality. Did this fantastic-looking film get the 100% quality treatment it deserves? I've ripped a lot of DVD's that look much better-- isn't 2520 kbps the highest quality SVCD rate? DCi's nfo (which I checked after my disappointment) states only 1950 kbps. I may be ignorant of the "5 pass vbr" process, but I know I've gotten much better looking results off my own DVD rips.
I agree with one thing you say, the picture quality isn't perfect in my opinion, but i am really fussy when it comes to CGI films.
2520 is the Maximum Video bitrate that Standard SVCD can allow, but that only allows about 40mins a disc, this is a long film for Disney's standards at 100mins, and 1950 is the average bitrate used, the Maximum probably is still 2520, i haven't actually checked it yet, and not all groups use the maximum, TCF rarely go above 2450 max.
Anyways nice movie, decent quality and damn quick as in UK we still have a while to wait for this movie.
