Dumb And Dumberer *SVCD* - DVD SCR - OBUS

Very nice. Quality is much like Wrong Turn. There were a few parts in the first few minutes where it was a little pixelated but it cleared up quickly and overall a very nice release.

8/8.5/7

Humm personally either my eyes decieve me or i need glasses. There are serious motion issues in this release that seem to equal the same issues of interlacing. You can even see it in the sample. I even downloaded disk 1. Same problems. Well either way, maybe someone will proper.

try playing it in powerdvd or your standalone...no interlacing issues.

the only way ive seen interlacing issues with this is playing it in WMP with a shitty svcd codec.

Thats becuase powerdvd and standalones use de-interlace filters, if it looks shitty without the filters then the group did a bad job at de-interlacing.

When you convert a DVD to SVCD, you dont deinterlace amigo!

Yes powerDVD and all players deinterlace the video because your monitor uses progessive scan. If you dont deinterlace its normal for you to see the lines. Standalone players dont deinterlace because standard tv's can only display interlaced content (new tv's can also handle prorgessive scan but not everyone has one).

Overall great release, 8/8/1. Has to be one of the worst movies of the 21st century.

Video is of good quality, I saw maybe a tad bit of pixellation at the beginning but that's about it, and I'm about to the end of disc one. As far as interlacing issues I see no signs of any, the movie plays fine on my pc in power dvd, and I will assume (cause I am not burning this movie to discs) it would look the same on my standalone.

Audio is good as well no sign of sync problems or anything like that, very clear and volume is set at good level.

Now the movie...
Well it's a way to past the time away, but this definitely has to be the worst movie of all time, I can't even finish watching it. Maybe worth a download to some, but definitely not worth wasting 2 discs on.

8/8/0 (would've given it a 1 for movie but it's so bad I can't even finish watching it and I usually stick through bad films to the end)

False, I played this is PowerDVD and saw it was interlaced. PowerDVD 5 has an option for deinterlacing during playback, turn it off and you'll see 'em. Even if you do use PowerDVD's auto deinterlacing or a standalone, an improper ivtc would result in a less sharp rip. I'm amazed at how many blind people we have in this crowd.

On FILM content you shouldn't but most non telecined DVD's you should deinterlace when converting to SVCD, even some of the "standard" shitty TV's will display interlaced lines but it'll look more like squiggly video.

But their is a proper out anyway so why bother, I just came here to school yall 3/9/3

Hi Guys,
hope u can help me, I downloaded both cds 1 & 2. I can extract the RAR files fine from the original .Tar (in cd2). But when i go to extract the obs-dad2.bin it says error at the very end :\
would this have anything to do with the file obs-dad2.svf ?

the last few lines read

obs-dad2.part47.rar c0c1f788
obs-dad2.part48.rar e586f991
obs-dad2.part49.rar 1b0f651c
obs-dad2.part50.rar a0ea2bba
obs-dad2.part51.rar 2b864830
obs-dad2.part52.rar 0fca2a6c
obs-dad2.part53.rar 35511519

sould that last line read that ?? because all the others have letters & numbers. Could this be where my error is coming from?
Could some1 possibly upload obs-dad2.part53.rar for me and this file obs-dad2.svf ? Because I think this is where the error is coming from.

Thanks alot pls help !!

Hooch
