does playstation one play vcd or svcd? if it does can someone help me out on getting them to play cuz when I put the VCD in it says please insert playstation formatted disc.

you need to buy a Playstation VCD adaptor

try Lik-sang.com they usually stock em. expensive to ship tho.

to be able to use one of thse adapters you must have an older PLaystation with a parallel port. you cnanot use them with 900x series or PSOne
