The release is ok...colors seem off (faded) for a dvd screener, sound seems low too, also as mentioned before cig burns seen make me think it's not a dvd screener...

Also an oddity, when skipping chapters ahead...first it shows 10 chapters...when you get to 10 and changes to chap 1 of 6(COUNTER RESETS)...when I try to rewind from the SECOND chapter 1...it won't let me...all strange things for a DVD screener don't you think?

However, since I never kept of the previous releases...this is the best release...and I'll keep it until a retail is available

BASED ON DVD SCREENER RATINGS:

6 / 6 / 8

:: much better. -K::

Yeah,

for some strange reason the movie is devided in two VTSs (hotel screener?) and there's also a tiny part missing between the video title sets. Picturequality looks like a professional telecine, compared to other DVD Screeners, it'd give it:

5 / 5 / 9

The audio is also just decent. I personally like the Replica 5.1 track much better (even though it's 'hacked' as TCF says). Picture quality (as bad as it is for a dvdscr) is best available so far. Another big downfall is that this dvd is not anamorphic like the NFO says. Tbh, the only difference between this and the SVCD version of this screener is that you save switching discs.

P.S.: next time better blurr out all of those serial fade-ins, you missed some ;P

Burned 3 times here, 4x speed on cheap media. Works like a charm everytime. Nothing is wrong with the release, and there have been lotsa other dvdscr with "non-cleaned" picture. 7/7/? from here (haven't seen it all myself yet)

STD Free

release reminds me a lot of the region 3 Bulletproof Monk release (I think it was region 3, the crappy dvd-scr anyway).

Still, definitely most watchable release but as someone mentioned, barely any different to the svcd release.

RE - the gap between VTS sets

I have seen this a couple of times at the flix and there is NO gap between the VTS sets. In fact the end of set one is a cig-burn change into the last reel for the second VTS set.

Having watched both versions there is nothing missing at all. It maybe looks like a stutter cos the of the reel change.

What is it?? PAL or NTDC

The nfo says it's PAL. but it appears to be a PAL converted to NTSC that still thinks its a PAL. I had to adjust my GE player to NTSC to get it to play. My JVC won't play it at all. My friends Toshiba says "disc error" and displays "Not NTSC disc" on the screen. My sisters apex that normally plays PAL without a problem, won't even acknowledge that it has a disc in it.

Anyone know how I can get this to play on anything besides my POS GE player?

I couldn't get it to play on either my dvd player (Pioneer DV-343) or my roommate's (Toshiba, not sure what model), but it plays fine on my computer. so I ripped all the video off the disc and converted it all to NTSC and it works like a champ on any player I throw it at now

well, it's only a tiny tiny piece that's missing between the two parts (not to mention the layer-break-like pause).

Anyone noticed it's not original 1:2,35 format? I dunno what bellboy or flight assistant sneaked it out, but it's the worst DVD Screener I've ever seen. Although it's still the best picture quality/color-wise there is for this movie so far, Replica's had at least right format and 5.1. The guys who mentioned that it doesn't work should rather get the SVCD, it's at least not making trouble

Video:
Video was not the best, and there was a name in the bottom left periodically.

Audio:
I noticed a slight problem with the sound. When an explosion or a gunshot fired it seemed that there was a slight glitch in the sound. Easily something most can live though.

Movie:
Awesome movie, Disney went all out with this movie and as a result it appeals to all ranges of people. Awesome movie!
