This is just plain funny. How is a serial number going to allow them to track down who stole it?
Sure, they might be able to know when, where and maybe even who it was taken from, but that information is pretty much useless.
This movie was ripped by one person, probably on Windows Movie Maker or something similar. Someone who had no knowledge of the scene, no knowledge of splitting files to fit on VCD etc, and uploaded on Kazaa anonymously. (All that the group fasttrack movies does is find releases already on Kazaa and point users towards them on their website, they didn't put this move out.)
There's a rumour flying around that it might have even been Tarrantino himself that posted this, I'd like to see them arrest him for violating his own copyrights :P
