the abuse of the term telecine
jebus chakra your pdvds look good, but just label correctly, we know. almost impossible to get retail movies weeks early, 3 at most....to get them more than a month early ? almost impossible, unless they are a direct distributor of the product signed with whatever movie industry, in this case you would think you had a warner bros. hookup due to Matrix, but how does that explain 20th Century Fox/Universal/Miramax connect...i dont get it...dont lie to us...until Replica drops the bomb diggity on the DVDR, and if its NTSC oh man it better be fucking real, cause its not even almost, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get retail this early...anyhow as for the telecines...yes the word is abused, yes ina sense dvds are telecines, promo dvds are telecines, but we are going off old school rules here people, back when a really nice workprint with all scenes was labeled telecine, nowadays with new technology people find it hard to label right
Afterdawn's definition, is pretty good, of the difference in telecine definitions, "scene" and "reality"...
http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/telecine.cfm
but in reality people, you can see it done in in centered position with a digital zoom minidv or telecine machine setup with a dolby theater 5.1 cd or a theater dts cd
technology has made this shit easier to do, and alot of people are taking advangtage...so enjoy it.
