Chief Phil Ossoffer

Anyone know what's in those 13 minutes? And why is it "unrated" now?

Keep on Truckin!

It's not more gore according to this review...although I haven't watched it yet, just finished burning it. Not sure why it would get the unrated, unless it's just a marketing thing to get more sales.

First off the film features 12 minutes of new footage and 11 minutes of replacement footage, which primarily build on the characters and relationships forged in the film. There isn't any extra killing or blood shed if that is what you are looking for, but bits and pieces have been inserted to heightened dramatic tension or to give a why to some scenes that you may have felt were a bit ambiguous in the first release. All-in-all the extra footage is not exactly necessary or impressive, but it is also not the main attraction to this 2-disc set.

Actually, the "unrated" just means they didn't re-submit the film to the MPAA to get a new rating (which is otherwise required, as it's no longer the same film the MPAA rated the first time around).

I am also curious to see what's so different about this version, whether it's actually worth it over the normal version. Extra footage I can understand, but different takes for existing scenes? Doesn't make much sense to me.

There is both new footage and reworked. I finished watching this release last night, and it is definately better than the original. There were a few scenes that they added a bit more of info, that just explained why they even included it in the first place.

Mind you none of the new stuff will blow you away as it is more centered around the characters etc, like Michael explaining about his past with his girlfriend whereas in the original, it was just Selene talking about how her family was killed and Victor "saved" her.

Overall, definately worth getting over the original. Man, and I even bought the original, now I just have another to buy when it comes out.

good flick..

Never saw the first release, but this unrated version inspired me to sit down and burn it.

Real good flick, has a story to keep you entertained for a bit when the action is nonexistant.

Good overall rip too...

9.5/9.5/9

Whats Ur Weapon Of Choice

Thumbs up

9/10/8

I saw both the original DVDRip and this one and Im telling you, that extra 15 minutes or so really makes this one the one to get. It gives you more depth into the story and obviously more scenes. I think you actually get a better understanding of the movie from this one. This is one awesome movie. It also explains about Micheal's girlfriend and stuff like that. So go ahead and grab this one if you like the movie.
