In the Cockpit

i don't know if it's the rip or what, but this video looks like

SHIT.

tons of artifacts and other junk on anything bright in the picture.

video: 8 (for dvdr)
audio: 10
movie: 7.5 (i was a little disappointed)

BANNED

88 rars is obviously undersized. either more xtras could have been kept, or bitrate made higher

In the Cockpit

supposidly the video is untouched. i dont know if i believe that because they did put in a few extras. it's pretty uncommon to see untouched video and extras on a dvdr these days.. especially on an Infinifilm release.

so i dunno if i believe centropy on the untouched video, but if they're telling the truth then this is literally the shittiest infinifilm release picture-quality wise of all time.

Ya, I too am not too impressed with the video on this release... But InifiFilm has been slipping lately with their DVDs IMO. Butterfly Effect was untouched video with some left over space and the movie was 2hrs...

Finding Nemo was a great example of shitty video quality and artifacting on bright movies. You need bitrate for bright colors. Elf (and Nemo) need the whole damn dual layer disc to look good. I'd personally be pissed if I bought this movie with qual like this.

::EDIT:: Both movies mentioned above have untouched video... Not talking about re-encodes.

Newbie

Thumbs up

I just watched 20 min of this movie. The quality is great on the main movie. I only had a chance to check one more thing. They give advice on using color bars and a widescreen explanation.
I just wanted others to know that THIS release is excellent, prior to the DVD RETAIL. You won't be disappointed in the video quality watching it on a television.
OK, its 0600 and got to get to work.
