The Passion Of the christ *NTSC* DVD9 - DVDRIP - MSD

you guys decided wrong. although DL drives are available on the net for a good price, they're not even in stores yet, nor are media, and media online is still very very expensive. gonna be some months before dvd9 kicks off

yeah, I can't find any dual layer discs around here - plus like mentioned before I bet they are very expensive.

Hopefully someone will release this on dvd5, a regular dvd.

$12? hahahah since when for a new movie like this? Plan on paying about $15-18 for this in stores right now. Maybe in 1-2 years it will be in the $10-15 price range.

And yes, it's way too early for DVD9's. Nice try though guys - i think everyone is gonna pass on this one

Dl drives are available in all stores. The media is ridiculously expensive. I like the release, it just gives people options, and the chance to get a perfect retail copy of this movie. That being said, I just dont see people picking up this release with the price of the media so high.

well...

On top of DVD-9 discs being between $8-$16 for ONE! ...Who is going to download 8GB???

Yes, we are far too early for DVD-9 to enter the scene, IMHO... When discs are a $1-$2, and DL Drives are everywhere, then it is time...(and I"m still not sure I want do d/l 8GB for the slight difference in quality, or the extras)....

I don't think it's too early i bought disks for £22.50 for five now working that back it's only the price of one and a bit new release so why not i can get five full dvd's if they are DL. I don't understand why the nfo says that it's still only 95x50mb that's 4.7gb is it not???

It is definately not too early for DVD9 releases. I think it's time for more for a couple of reasons. 1) The more demand for the DL media the sooner the prices will start to drop and 2) Believe it or not there are many people who have HTPC setups or some other method for streaming their DVDs. I for one don't even burn them, I just extract them to a server and stream them.

Bring on more DVD9s!!

DL discs are pricy but not as pricy as a new dvd
u can burn dl discs on an 8X dvd+r burner anyway you dont need one specifically for dl discs on an 8x burner it burns dl discs at 2.4X

why's it rated at a 9 for pic and audio? oO it should be 10s

Yea, should be 10, unless the source is screwed.

Lok at it this way, since it is a 1:1 copy, if you wanted, now you got the ACTUAL dvd, format it yourself down to a DVD5 and you decide what you wanna keep.

this discourages ever buying the DVD...why buy it now that you have the extras and everything...which is why i tend to stay far from DVD rips unless hard to find or expensive to preview it.

guess im just rambling more than posting, but it's 1 in the morning and ive had 7 hours of sleep in the past two days and worked 2 full days and i feel like typing something.

BUY THE DVD

The DL disks are not that expensive, but still a tad early for these to be common place i feel.

This has probably got them a few new sites in the silvers factorys tho, as there are more and more dvd9 silvers nowadays.

I remember when i payd like $10 for a CD-R disc, and then the price droped to $4 in 6 months, so i dont think thath its to early for DVD-9 releases, the disc price will drop quick , and the duallayer burners is the same price as the single. And if you got a T1 + line 8gig is not thath mutch, everyone downloaded the LOTR releases.

As for release

10/10/1
