Admin?

Try DVDShrink 3.2 not 3.1 but I doubt that's going to make a major difference. Personally I've never come across this problem before but you could always use the re-author mode to JUST rip the movie and ditch the menu's/extras... Or split the extras onto another DVD.

Try "Still Picture" Compression

DVDShrink will not/can not compress full-motion video below a certain practical level, so you must slash some bulk from elsewhere.

I use the "Still Picture" option for everything except the Main Movie.

This has an effective compression ratio of about 90% So a 250MB Extras clip becomes 25MB.

Sure it looks like your player is broken (until you play the main movie), but it's better than re-authoring with just the movie in terms of presentation.

Also, don't forget to turn off ALL the audio streams that you don't want, like director's comments, etc.

And leave the compression for the Main Movie at Automatic.

Ive seen this problem a few times (X-men 1.5, and Close Encounters of the 3rd kind). Like it was said before... always remove audio you dont need or want. In any case for the two movies above I had to settle with using a program that splits the movie across 2 discs (DVDFab, or lord forbid... DVDXCOPY)
Hope this helps.

You could just do what xxxl, said and just Shrink it again once the first one is finished, takes a bit longer, but still not long compared to CCE.
