Mpeg2 to DVD

Hi all,

I dl a SVCD rar file and extracted the files successfully. 3 disks.

I then used Womble Mpeg-vcr to extract the Mpeg files and join them. The output was then Mpeg2.

I tried to open the files in TMPGenc, no success. TMPGenc Dvd author ..... and also DVDSanta. No success.

I want to make this file into a DVD file.

Can anyone help ..... I have already searched and came up with nothing difinitive.

What do I do to convert it?

Thanks

It's love baby!

First of all:

This is is your friend. Know it, use it, love it. This has been answered here numerous times.

But to get you started, here's the guide I use for SVCD to DVD-R:

Also, sometimes WinAVI works with mpeg files from SVCD, but not always.

Thought I'd report back on what I found. I searched the forums here and there seemed to be such a difference in opinion on how to convert SVCD to DVD.

I tried a few methods and most didn't work for me at all.

Until I tried SVCD2DVD v2. This prog is in Beta stage at the moment but I have to say ..... its great. It allows you to convert all formats including mpeg, avi, divx,SCVD, VCD whatever to DVD. And its pretty damn fast. You can also author with TMPEGenc DVD author afterwards if you wish.

So I paid the guy $20, so bloody what. If I had have done that initially it would have saved me hours of searching and trying different methods. There is also a support forum and most questions I had were answered there.

Cheers to SVCD2DVD v2!
