Admin?

Here's a VCDQuality first! A proper answer to a question before a bunch of sarcastic fuckers reply

- Mount the CD image in your favourite Virtual CD doohickey (I use Daemon Tools)

- If you want to play the SVCD on the PC you need to either get/install an MPEG2 codec and browse to the "MPEG2" folder on the CD (or the "MPEGAV" folder for VCDs) and drag/drop the contents into your player.

- Alternatively, some "proper" DVD playback software such as PowerDVD/WinDVD/UleadDVD should just play them without any dicking around.

Now, let the sarcasm commence...

What the heck are you talking about? You didn't say you could play other movies and your post barely made sense so don't give me shit for not understanding what the hell you're talking about, I only speak english.

Try giving us some decent information and you'll get decent answers.

i ALSO said i have the the file IN my virtual drive re-read what i wrote and stop trying to be such a tough guy its histerical how you get all nasty beacuse i asked how is that a noob question.. im sorry for not being an svcd expertr like you mr moderator and I'm sorry I don't write proper english on a nerd forum like you. Ok, lets look at this logically then...

1. You can mount it in your virtual drive
2. You can view all other VCD and SVCDs ok

Answer... The CD image is fucked or it's encoded wrong! Then again, for all we know you have a nuked release because you still havn't managed to actually tell us the release name (not that I care now, you're getting fuck-all from me again on this subject) you'll never know now though will you?

I'm not going to argue with you ropeadope, I'm just not going to help you any more. You see, the problem is I actually tried to help but you don't deserve fuck all - your initial post was shit and hard to understand and if you think the definition of a "nerd" is somebody who can use grammar and punctuation so that other people understand them, I think that reflects more on your education (or lack of) than it does on this forum.

Do you think this forum owes you something? It doesn't... How fucked in the head do you need to be to think that attacking the people who are trying to help you is going to be anything other than counter-productive? I despair, I really do

That's the biggest load of shit I've read in ages. If you want to know why it doesn't make sense it's because your terminology is all over the place.

Couple of things. The .bin file is a cd image, the .cue file tells your computer how to handle that image.

So you've got a few options, instead of mounting the disc image why don't you just burn it out and give it a shot in a standalone?

Failing that, try extracting the .mpg from the disk image (Use iso buster or vcdgear).

Again, failing that give videolan a try.

It's quite clear that at the moment you're going through the motions but haven't actually got a clue what you're doing.

I wouldn't suggest you critique people trying to help you.

I don't know why N$ is being so nice to you on this comment (he must be getting laid lately). It's obvious you don't deserved to be coached through your options. But I'll break it down for you . . .

This website/forum is call VCDquality.com, a movie "release" review site. People here are lucky enough to have a Newbie & Encoding forums.

But IF your "superior intellect" had not taken the day off, you might have done a little bit of searching and possibly a bit of reading and ended up at VCDHelp.com, which is much more likely to have the answers to your questions.

Zippy The Stunt Turtle

ways of playing svcd:

codec (svcd codec) so you can play it in mplayer, however i found this causes all kinds of problems

play it in vlc player (works very well)

mount it on a virtual drive, and load it in a pcdvd player, like powerdvd

easy.

nope...only the wizard can give you what you need scarecrow.

Here is a sure fired way to watch your movie:
1)shitcan the files you have...theyre fucked and i doubt very much at this point you will have ANY luck soliciting help in troubleshooting the myriad possible problems.
2)pass some time reading this book
3)rent the dvd and watch your movie
