I downloaded some subtitles for a French movie but they were just a text file. The first 3 lines are here -

Can someone kind soul point me in the direction of some good software to convert this to a file for playing on media player classic or BS player.

http://divxstation.com/subtitles.asp has subs for almost every movie. Download the ones you want and play them in VLC Media Player. File > Open File > check subtitle options > open the sub file > open the movie and enjoy
