Subtitles to .avi
im looking to burn Ong-Bak.Muay.Thai.Warrior.DVDrip-ValioMedia.avi as a Data File to a CDr.
But i want the .srt subtitles to be added permanently to the file so they display when i play the CD whether on my PC or on my standalone .avi player.
The original file is 700mb, i want the end file following the adding of the subs to be a 700mb .avi, no conversion to .mpg, no increase in size (or very slight increase)......is this possible??
I have read guides that seem to give the general process of how to complete this task, but thay always seem to assume that you want to convert the file to VCD/SVCD grrr.
The process i have tried so far has been as follows, adding subtitles filter to Virtual Dub plugin folder, adding the .ssa (coverted to that from the .srt) to the film.
Upon doing this immediately the preview shows the added subtitles nicely.....but then it goes down hill.
I cant seem to save the .avi with the subtitles by Direct Streaming the copy. Using the guides and Frameserver within Virtual Dub to make a .vbr i open up TMPGenc and try to encode that as an .avi
Of course it doesnt like this and give me error File is Not Supported when i attempt to encode.
Im beginning to get annoyed with this so any help would be appreciated. Im probably missing something very simple, cant believe its this much hassle just to add a few kb of subtitile to a film.
