Crazy Theatre Seal

Be Cool *WS* *NTSC* - DVDRIP - Centropy

On both standalone devices I tried to play this on (xbox and toshiba dvd player) Pressing the play button resulted in a crash / stop. Power DVD plays it just fine. I imagine we'll see a patch soon. (note you can still play the film by going into chapter selection, selecting chaper 2 and reverse chapter skip back to the start )

Thanks for removing the FBI warnings and other unwanted junk centropy, it's very nice to see the DVD load straight to menu and I wish more grps would start doing that .

Otherwise it looks and sounds very nice.

9/9/?

The video quality 8, audio quality 8, Movie 7.
But alas this thing needs a patch. It stops/crashes when you select play in the menu. I have the CCE4TV patch, but it does nothing for the crashing of the movie. All in all, this release would be great if you had a working patch for the crashing at play selection in the menu.

Burnt it once at 8X , thought it was my fault. Burnt it at 4X , still no dice. But , I did play it on Power DVD, and I did notice when you get to the point where they lobbed the credits off, it crashed Power DVD.

this has to be the most steamyest pile of turds ive seen in a long time, I cant believe that a group like this cant do a simple edit of a dvd, Waiting for a proper or repack as i doubt it can be fixed to be working without a crash somewhere

I'm a little late, but I guess better late than never.

Ok, this release was pretty good. I had to quickly rent Get Shorty (which is the first of the series) and watch that before I got around to this one.

Be Cool was OK. No where as good as the original IMO. This was actually a bad sequel. If it wasn't for Vince Vaughn and The Rock, this would have been awful. Basically it was a cheesy re-make of Get Shorty, except in the music business.

Video was untouched, and it looked pretty good. No complaints. No artifacting and nice colors, so hey, what else do I want.

But there are a list of problems wrong with this release. First problem is that the DVD starts in the middle of the menu, WHICH was fixed by the CCE4TV patch. That patch does NOTHING else.

Other problems are there too. Such as the crashing/nothing playing on many standalones from the menu. Also, they cut the movie length, but the VOB is still expecting the full length, so it crashes there too (ie: they didn't shorten the sector size in the IFO file to correspond to the shortened VOB).

This was obviously a rush job. CTP probably saw other groups releasing this movie, so they paniced. This disc still has 2 issues that I know of no patch will solve (above paragraph).

Video 9/10 - I don't miss the 20-30 seconds on credits myself, and I am happy on the untouched myself.

DVD-R 6/10 - It was a rush job with 3 problems. I'd expect this kind of quality from MPT or ShinBet. Come on, it's UNTOUCHED... They could have spent the extra 10-15 mins fixing this disc, they'd still be ahead of the rest of the groups who were probably putting it through DVDShink

Movie 7/10 - Rare event for me to rate movies. Watch Get Shorty first, and then this one. You'll probably agree that this one was just pure Hollywood glitz and cheese. The Rock and Vaughn are good, and definitely the saving grace of the movie. They're worth watching on their own (and without them, I'd give this a 5/10).

CTP have made a right pigs ear of this rip. Firstly they have moved the first jump and just made it straight to the menu to bypass the warnings but they haven't done it properly. This would be okay but they have forgotten about GPRegs to compensate they changed the play button commands on the menu. So it won't play when you hit play and the messed up Gpregs also cause the chapter menu to work incorrectly! Not only that but they have just deleted the unused VOBs, without properly stripping them. But to make matters worse it is very evident that they didn't not test this release, Cell 25 which is only the end credits is not complete and the disc crashes, which makes this another CTP release that doesn't return to the menu!

I have made a patch to correct the problems of this release but can't post it here. Forgot the CCE4TV patch as that is no way to fix this release.

Eat my farts...

Well the quality is great obviously since it is untouched, but as stated the dvd is f00ked. Too bad there isn't a rating for the authouring

Anyways I was looking forward to watching this tonight but I am gonna wait a while to see if some sort fo patch comes out before I waste a DVD-R on this one.

I hope there is some way you can get your patch out there DeViT as it sounds like it would make this release useable.

I applied the CCE4TV patch and burned 4x (Datawrite Yellow) and it played fine (Sony 336) when I clicked on Play on the main menu, left it playing for approx.. 10 mins and not a problem, after reading this thread I tried again and found I couldn't access chapter 1 from the scene selection (it crashes) and it screws up on the end credits, shame.

I also applied the CCE4TV Patch and burned 4x (Sony DVD-R). It works fine in my DVD Player (Pioneer DV-578A). Play button works and scene selection works fine. The only problem is there's about a 10second hang after the end credits but then it returns to the audio selection menu.. My dvd player seems to play all the releases others have problems with (Seed of Chucky MPT, play button also f00ked, but worked).
