trying to convert war of the worlds xvid

i am trying to join the 2 avi files together, but loading them into vdub and also the film machine both give erros to do with the audio, something to do with the bitrate and that they dont match.
anyone else had this prob ? if so how do i get around it ?

thanks

Talking Converting to DVD

So WinAVI will allow you to convert XVID or AVI files to DVD files??

What would you use to burn these???

Banned: PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RATE RELEASES ON A RELEASE RATING SITE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT RELEASING THINGS THEMSELVES LOL

this could just be me being a n00b, but when i want to do a DVD i fire up tMPGENC, convert it to mpg, then fire up DVDLAB-pro and author a menu etc. in there. Dvd-lab will do the conversion from MPG to DVD + then i get can do scene selections, special features etc etc.

Nero Vision didnt work for me,

Just like the others , I have tried to join the files using virtualdub and Easy Joiner.

I even bring into Adobe Premiere in PAL Format, and Premiere doesnt know what to do with the audio.

I just want to join the two to watch on my stand-alone DIVX player. I can throw both xvids onto a dvd, but there is a 3 second jump from part 1 to part 2.

TossPot

TMPGEnc in "highest and error correction" mode creates a nice XviD-MPG2 conversion, albeit slow.

Putting the fun in fundie

DVD2SVCD also has an AVI input option...

Use it inconjunction with CCE for a nice re-encode.

Or just get a philips 642, pop it in and play

joining them should be a case of using vdubmod. if that gives you problems, rip out the audio, reencode it to cbr, then join 'em.

then encode 'em to mpeg2-dvdr.

or just say fuck it and use xbmc. Get an xbox, you know you want one.

I used Easy Video Joiner (www.DoEasier.org) to join the two AVIs, and it did so without a problem, and you can't even notice that it was joined at all. Took a little while, but worked like a charm. Now I just have to get around to converting it.

Hey now,

Easy Joiner didnt work for me , Ahhh

EDIT

Ok, here is the latest from me:

I tried to join the files with Virtual Dub, however it came up with an error that the audio sample rates were not the same. So, I tried Nandub and it joined the two with no problems. My audio is there.

So, im doin the happy dance.....I burn the new joined xvid file with Nero. I popped it into my standalone Divx player (Model: RJtech) and the video plays but has no damn audio. I played it back on my PC and audio is there.

A side note: I burned xvid files onto a disc and played it in my divx player. They played fine with audio, the only thing I dont like is that there is a 3 second black jump from one file to the other.

Any other ideas? I have tried to convert the files to DVD using Nero Vision, but its out of sync,

My next option is to strip the audio and reencode them.

The latest from Vegas,

EDIT 2:

Well, I tinkered with some settings in my Divx player, and it works. Thanks for everyone ideas with programs they used.

For me Nandub worked.

as stated before i used winavi for this release, no other program was necessary, i did have two different vobs, 1 for each cd, but wth, it pauses for half a second on the switchover, no biggie. i tried converting a dvdrip with the app and it looked nice, i used to rag on these 1 click programs, but screw it, it takes 1/5th of the time to download an xvid over a dvdr and a whopping 15 minutes to convert. all i have is a crappy 32 inch tube anyways so i cant notice a difference, ill be using this for conversions in the future.
