Burn failed???

I convert my movies to DVD using WINAVI or DVDSanta and all runs fine. I can watch the entire movie on my PC with no problems. When I go to burn the DVD file with DVDSanta, half way through it stops with a "Burn Failed" error? I then try to burn the file with Nero Burning ROM, half way through, another burn process failed error.
There are other movies I convert and then burn, doing nothing differently and it works perfect.
I'm getting alot of coasters this way and would sure like to fix it.
Anyone else having problems like this? or any suggestions what I might be doing wrong or missing?
Thanks,

i would suggest you try a different enoding method like dvd rebuilder or the big 3. the only thing about rebuilder is that if you use R1 dvds it wont keep the cc (thats if you want to keep em). Thats my advice
