How in the world can there be motion bluring on a tc?? The frames are scanned not filmed. I didnt notice any motion blur. Looks fine to me. Watched about 10 minutes or so of this from different parts of the movie and after having downloaded the nbp, even after repack it still doesnt merit another download. Would have been my first choice had it been done right the first time. As it is.Not worth it.

Based on TC :

Video : 7
Audio : 8
Movie : 6

LOL at my first comment on the release - After taking the time to watch the entire release, I do see much of those things other people are seeing.Like blurines.Motion blur.THIS IS NOT A TC.A tc machine is a gigantic super fast film scanner.when is the last time you scanned a photo at home and got a blury scan from a sharp clear original photo. These kind of things just do not happen with a tc.It does look a lot like the war of the worlds tc(labled as but not) but looks more like the batman begins that was labled tc but again wasnt. There are certain defining characteristics of a telecine and this does not have them.

hmm

ill start with the advantages on the svcd version:
1. better quality
2. half the size

reason not to download it? there isnt one!

since i havent managed to get a copy of this yet what with deuce bigalow, dukes of hazzard and the island higher on my list, i can now go for this nice rerip. quality isnt exactly alot different from the first rip but ill get this one.

nice rip guys and keep em comin

9/9

:edit: btw before i get any comments like 'why are you giving 9s' its because the darkness seemed fine from the sample, the pixelation is barely noticeable, the blurriness isnt bad at all, the sound sounds clear and understandable, so there!

it is of comparable quality to prodigy's xvid tc of 'stealth' but with less pixelation

9/9

if you haven't got the release yet how can you pass comment and vote on it?

Personaly seems more like a TS than a TC with colour blurring on edges. Would give a max of 6 for video

6/7/?

::EDIT:: I'm guessing he grabbed the sample... That's what they're for - NS::

Thumbs up

watched this last night and the only problem is a tad dark. sound is very good. so, get this release and turn the brightness up on the tv (thats what its for) and enjoy. decent telecine here and a good movie.

Managed to get a copy of this yesterday and watched it tonight...

Comes in real nice.. Decient audio. Just wish someone would find out how to crack DTS2 so we can get more multichannel TS and TC releases..

V: 8 - Slightly grainy at times, and dark.
A: 7 - mono, but very crisp
M: 7 - Pretty good, I enjoyed it...

I still dont really see why this is needed over the original though.

Quality 6 (pixilated)
Audio 7 (decent)
Movie 4 (garbage)

based on it being a TC

I think that the copy is excessively pixilated.
It would have benefited from either a mutli-disc release (having seen the dvd this was taken from) or
a more extensive multi-pass encoding (or possibly both).

Nice release

Based on TC :

Video : 5 (wrong ar imho)
Audio : 8
Movie : 7

Anyone notice that the aspect ratio is off, everything looks stretched, should really be 640x304 (2.105) not 640x336 (1.905) for the image to look right.

Are you guys blind?? The aspect ratio is way off, ok sound is better, and picture has less ghosting, but cm'on.... earth is ovalshaped in the beginning... first clue... second, all of em look like donkeys... long faces.... SO ITS NUKED, end of story.

Who ever did this "rip" just reriped the svcd, and never botherd to get the aspect ratio correct.

picture is good overall, slight pixelation and a bit too dark in the shadows

sound seems like its mono but its still very clear and understandable. It would sound better on a television than through headphones like I used :/

cool movie overall

video: 7
audio: 6
movie: havnt seen – don’t plan to

Based on flicking through a few bits of the film. I can confirm a bad AR. they encoded at a AR of 1.9 (640x336) when it should be a AR of 2.21 (640x290). You can tell it should be 2.21 by checking the very beginning, where the "Universal World" looks squashed. it looks round again with 2.21. As you can see from these pictures (am I aloud to post pics here?) the bad AR is pretty bad, possibly warranting a nuke.

original:
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4492/original0fh.jpg

corrected:
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/...orrected2ij.jpg

The picture otherwise is ok, a little dark, but still fairly clear and very watchable. The audio sounds a little hollow and muffled, and I think the synch is very slightly off (sound comes very slightly after mouth starts to move, nothing big, just doesn’t look quite right).

Overall a pretty good release once I had encoded it to DVD and fixed the AR problem, but I don’t understand why they didn’t fix the AR in the RERiP.

eerie...

Video: 7
Audio: 7
Movie: 7

I'm not sure how clear and crisp the sound and video was for the theatrical release itself, but the mono audio and video quality really give it a 16MM low budget atmosphere. I would bet it's because this is a TC but it should have been done intentionally. Decent flick.
