high quality dvd scr
no menu but that's ok and common for dvdscr
no dd5.1 but it was dd surround and not weak 2.0 so i can't complain
movie was ultra-weak. as bad as the prequel to this was (house of 1000 corpses, as it was a major rip-off of texas chainsaw massacre imo) i have to say it was better than this sequel.
this sequel has a much more unique plotline but is still lacking quite a bit. the movie isn't even a horror movie at all. i'm a huge horror fan but sorry rob zombie- this is far from it.
i also liked the inclusion of some '60s and '70s classic songs, but the movie was too boring at periodic stages and definately needs the tag of 'horror' as a genre stripped. just because they killed some people doesn't make it a horror. the only thing that comes close to making this a horror movie is the fact it's a sequel to "1000 corpses."
Rob Zombie is a great musician and i love his music. after this i'm tired of seeing him write/direct/act and even cast his wife again in film. although he has a slight gift for them all, let's disclude at least one of those elements from future films, mmmkay Mr. Zombie? yes ur wife is hot but anyway.... not grabbing retail. this is 100% fine. picture is crisp, clear, beautiful. 4-5 parts of 1-2 minute b&w scenes combined with the tiny "property of lions gates films" which is 100% tolerable.
video: 10 (can't rate lower, it's 1:1 copy plus it's GREAT)
audio: 10 (once again, 1:1 copy so it's not the groups fault. plus it's still surround and very great. especially for a crappy movie like this)
movie: 6
whatever..... great rls. no need for retail now.
