video is nice in my opinion but the audio is terrible. its like listening to 8-bit 8KHZ audio, during diagloge its ok but when there is music/singing you really notice. I went back and checked out the TS from ORC and that has better sounding audio.

just looked at cd3, when i play the bin/cue in VLC I get no audio, but cd3 of the nonrepack is just fine. anyone else have this problem?

7/5/??

why not drag and drop in nero to burn takes 2 extra seconds?
i know scene rules but its not that hard. all these peolpe complaining about bin/cue. i myself think the rules should change with the times not being in bin/cue is easier for me to put on dvd and not anymore work for you to put on cd. i like not getting up in the middle of a movie. dont have a dvd burner buy one they are cheap. then you save money and space to store the movies. 1 disk dvds 2 or 3 disk cds i get 25 dvds 10 bucks 50 cds around 12 bucks so thers less than 25 movies for this is 3 disk. and how come the rating are so different than the first one? all they did was create an immage of the files its not like they reencoded

video 8

audio 7.5 when not singing

movie ok im not a cash fan

Actually could care less if they come in mpg, bin, m2v, mpv, demuxed a/v streams, etc. It won't bother me cuz I would know what to do with them. And to be fair, yes for the avg joe downloader getting a nuked release cuz of no image files or for any other things that are trivial, shouldn't affect them either if they know what to do with em.

On the other hand if they do get nuked cuz of missing scenes or sync problems (if you can't fix em), or anything else that may affect the movie itself, then YES Mr. Leecher would rather dl a proper. But the rules were not created with you or me in mind. They are more for the scene. And it does affect the group if they get their rls's nuked.

all i said was bin/cue noone wants to do work to them. they should be released ready to burn yes i agree but just cause its not bin/cue doesnt mean its not ready to burn. everyone would rather have a proper for synce or missing scenes. all i was saying was mabey some of the rules could be modifyed for todays times.
and bin/cue isnt a nessity. when i started i didnt know what abin/cue was but could burn an mpge file. this isnt something that takes alot of knowlage to do like resynceing or cutting scenes. its just a burn. and people still ask now how to burn immage files so its not like everyone knows what to do with them.

and if you know so much on what to do with them why you creating an immage just to burn it?

You do realize that when you use that bloated software called nero to "burn an .mpg", what it's doing internally is creating the image file (author) then doing the actual burn. That's why it takes longer to "burn an .mpg" as compared to burning the .bin. Image files are burn-ready, .mpg is not. Would you consider VOB files burn-ready? No that's why groups make image files for DVD.

Nope not in my book. Those one click progs are newbie-friendly and all, but they do the image files internally before the ACTUAL BURN. Image files are the final stage, no matter if cd or dvd. If you want go and test....image file of contents will start the burn sooner and thus will be faster, therefore it's the last step before burning.

Not sure what 'one-clicky' program you are using to burn Vob's, but I use cdrecord on linux I burn Vob's to data disc all the time. I know for a fact it doesn't build an image each time (unless it builds a 4gb image into an invisible filesystem or non-existant memory).

Vcd's are a little different story, but don't necessarily require an image be built pre-burn (nero doesn't really build an image for this either, its just checking file integrity and mucking around w/ the header, as well as inserting some other files so the vcd/dvd player will pick it up).

Of course, if you are in the habit of downloading movies in VCD format, then hopefully you are smart enough to figure out how to burn the thing without whining.

Uhh that's the thing I don't use one click programs. And when I say internally I mean on-the-fly. When you say

What do you think it's doing? Mount any image file and you will see the same folders and files as when you insert the disc, after a burn, into your drive and open it up. Image files that groups make BYPASS that "checkin n muckin" crap as you say and is ready-to-burn.

Who said i was whining I was responding to the question i was asked.

Isn't 'On The Fly' burning when you are copying a disc without making an image?

Also, how come all these movies are still in VCD format? Why isn't the DVD-R scene bigger than it is? Is it safer? I remember someone saying that they're VCDs cause CD's are cheaper, but generally CD's are about half the price of DVDs, which would make it the same only if every movie were on two discs, but in order for it to be cheaper, VCDs would have to be one disc(and I've seen quite a few 2CD ones, and even a 4CD one). Also, isn't it nicer to have everything on one disc, with chapters, and menus, and whatever else? I ask because I take the time to convert anything I get to DVD, and even make neat little menus and extra features for a lot of them, and it's not that hard to me, so I'm wondering why I don't see more of it.... Anyone who can shed some more light on this for me?

Think about it. When copying from one disc to another "the source disc is like an image already". That's all an image file is...it's an exact copy of any cd/dvd disc that is on your hard drive. The files are already layed out and know where they are supposed to go on a disc before a burn.
