I saw this one at the theater ... it was a really good movie. Funny, touching, disaffected, unique. The characters seemed a bit like cliches, especially the grandpa, but all of the actors did a great job. I see there is no official dvd date yet, so hopefully they set one soon or we get an awards screener in a few months.
yes im digging this thread up. i was MIA when this movie came out and have been waiting patiently for the DVD which I was promised by a certain female that I cannot kill for tax reasons. But after finally getting my fuckin DVD I gotta say this movie kicks total ass.
and even more surprising/the director team of this move used to do mtv music videos. usually when you get the vid director to movie thing you usually get a horror or action film. but not this time....
