Watched both versions and liked them both, though the ending was better in the theatrical (imo). The movie was somewhat a prequel as well as of course a remake. The workprint copy really stays to the original whilst the theatrical really changed it up (thanks to the reshoot). There were a few weak parts but it was pretty strong throughout. A few parts could have been taken out or cut shorter like the prequel scenes. They showed a lot of Michael as a kid which didn't do much for the story. I noticed several differences between the two, most notiably the ending, again, definitely better (imo). That's my 2 cents.

Overall: Very enjoyable, stuck to the original but also had its' own feel. My take, go see it.

The theatrical of course for the Workprint is missing important scenes/dialogue. Plus the ending is better on the Theatrical, well IMO. If anything I would say watch them both.

I've watched the WP and I'll definitely watch the theatrical when its released.

The WP wasn't that bad really (wasn't great either) but curiosity and being a fan of the genre means I'll watch the theatrical too....
