Okay, first off, as I'm simming through this I see no directors commentary, there's an empty track, well actuallly there are three, and all buttons are hot, so if you try and listen to Julie Taymor's nice add on's...Oops! there's the same sound that echoes across the universe, yes: silence! Also, there aren't any foreign tracks, but again, all buttons are linked.
Of cause, cutting away audio tracks gives a better bitrate and yes the image is crisp and has nice blacks as should be expected @4035 kbs (according to the group nfo) but there's a catch: TGP left in almost 700 MB's worth of menu's (that's a whole cd for ya)and while this does contain the english ones it also holds all kinds of foreign moving menu's. So if TGP had spend just a few more minutes at it, this would have given plenty of room for more extra's or at least the extra audio track. I smell a proper coming up soon...

Mimzy

Have watched the whole thing. As mentioned above the menu works but is otherwise a train wreck. Disc jumps from the end of the movie to a non-functioning previews menu.

TIP: Change Line 15 in VTSM1, LU1 (en) 418 (dummy) to read "LinkPGCN PGC 35"

Picture encode is superb, much better than the 2-disc XviD. The sample vob doesn't do it justice so don't judge the picture quality by that.

Movie is very clever but lacks any real emotional involvement. It was great seeing Joe Cocker again. The surround mix and photography are brilliant but this is really just eye and ear candy.

Watched this on the TV...

As mentioned, the sample looks nothing like the actual movie, don't judge the release by that.

I had previously watched the xvid dvdrip (on the TV as well) - which was good, but fo this movie and the visuals (which are amazing) the full DVD5 is the way to go.

Video is excellent.
Audio is superb.
Movie is great - I had musical movies, but this was done very well and if you are a Beatles fan, it's a must watch.

This is a release to get as of now.

I actually thought the video quality was very subpar.
It looked like a 1.37GB xvid rip to me.

hmm, the audio is spot on though, that's for sure.
