video is decent for a vhs screener but it has some diagonal lines or flicker scrolling through it throughout the entire release... more noticeble during the darker scenes... audio is good tho.

Not a bad movie, I enjoyed it.

V-8 (Even with the scrolling lines the quality is good)
A-8.5
M-7 (Entertaining enough)

The butcher at work

From rar and sample. Some previous posters referred to this scrolling flickering black whatever it is. I find it very irksome particularly in dark scenes. Color good, resolution at best average. Sound above average. Overall one of the very lowest on the scale of watchability. May give it a go anyway as movie received decent reviews and is my type.

6.0/7.5/? Formula for its type but not too bad at all. Will probably watch again when decent rlse appears. Movie 7.5. Oh and I definitely did not need to know the nature of the evil beforehand. Bad. Very bad.

KILLING IS MY BUSINESS

Way to give away the whole movie without a spoiler warning

6/8/?

The scrolling lines are very annoying.

:: way to quote the entire spoiler so that even after he added a warning, people would still see the original text without a warning in your post. ::

Thanks for the heads up. I will be sure to issue a spoiler warning next time.

:STAFF EDIT: ...or you could just not post movie reviews in threads dedicated solely to the quality of the release. We have a movie review section - please use that.

ok these aint great but perfectly watchable if u cant wait or cant get to the flix , as a vhs scr v-7 a-7
some lines on video and scratchy audio keeps the score down
but they aint bad enough to spoil it
but these beat any cam , imo ...
not gonna review the storyline make our own mind up
every1 likes something different
but for quality its just watchable v7a7(just)

Totally agree with this an, also has blocked out logo bottom right of screen, but this is hardly noticable.

I will give 7 for the movie. One of the better ones.

Fair quality Screener in both visual and audio departments.

Video - Does have the weird background flickering as others have mentioned, however, it is only really apparent in the darker scenes of which the film is NOT proportionately made up of. So dont be entirely put off by this negative aspect.

The colours held up well with a minimal amount of pixellation for vhs. Only other think to note is the small blurred serial in the bottom right corner. This is transparent so does not effect the viewing too badly.

Audio - Sounded fine to me, maybe a little hollow.

Movie - Although cliched it flowed at a steady pace and the actors were involving enough. Dont expect much of a plot or any real answers to the 'mysteries' just gory fun.

7/8.5/7

Dirty VCR heads, most likely. The ripper might be operating with a unit from 1985. And from the looks of it, they're using a pretty crappy capture card, too. But it's slightly better than the other VHS screeners I've seen lately.

A: 5 (too loud and distorted - fix your audio levels, guys!)
V: 6
M: 8 (will add the DVD to my collection)

Slight moving diagonal lines through very dark scenes, a quiet buzzing noise at times. Picture ratio like television of 4:3.

Other than that very watchable. I think this is a work release because of the blurred timer bottom right, but i'm no expert.

I found the movie itself thrilling.

Newbie

Watched the first 5 minutes then, ferociously pounded the [DEL] key.
The scrolling lines were far to ANNOYING.
