I've been doing some reading on these and was looking at signing up at easynews. I usually use a combination of IRC and Torrents so I was wondering what are the advantages of newsgroups?
What else will I need besides a sub to easynews? A newsreader? Can someone recommend one? Also what about nzb's? I can't sign up at newzbin it seems to be disabled.
news reader either newsbin or news leecher,advantage is speed and privacy,and newshosting,com is 15$ a month unlimited,just google nzbs and you will come up with sites

Good to see you back CW (although I've spotted you on ***Matrix's forums ), good link for people new to newsgroups too... Although I still think Newsgroups should be treated like Fight club

Once you go newsgroups, you'll never turn back - they are, without a doubt the best source for all info/programs/tv/movies.
newsreader = alt.binz - the best, its free, downloads, checks rars, repairs with pars and unrars all automatically.
newsserver = usenet-news - buy non-expiring blocks of gigs, no monthly access.
nzb index sites are not illegal, i find the best paid one is *** and two of my favorite free ones are *** and ***

Alt.binz. Even if it is buggy as fuck it supports encrypted connections and it's free
Pan is nice and fast for browsing groups, downloads headers real quick but isnt the most friendly software.
hmmm...Neversoft always seemed to remind me of Tyler Durden. Only ugly.

I use easynews and their web interface with reget download manager. i gave up the scene years ago and just went with this. no bullshit to have to take.. $10 a month or so which the last time i was "scening" you couldn't even get leech for that much. Also you can use in conjuction with newzbin (the site not the reader) but once you get the hang of it you won't need it.
