Bitter, miserable twat.

Right-click on your clock and select "Properties".

In the Taskbar tab, under "Notification area", untick "Hide inactive icons".

Yoshi - I don't think thats his problem. He's got icons missing that SHOULD be there.

However, I also don't think that its the hiding inactive icons thing because that gives you a little arrow to click that temporarily shows all icons.

Ususally somewhere in the setup of the program there will be an option to show an icon in the tray.

Admin?

It's probably caused by the boot sequence of your copy of Windows, it's a known bug but a cunt to find and fix. There's quite a lot of info about it here. But generally speaking it can be sorted by delaying the appearance of the icons until your desktop has "settled down" - have a look at TrayIconsOK! it should fix it, although it's not the ideal solution.

It might also be useful to flush your Windows\Prefetch folder, cos that can dick with the timings during boot-up as well.

sort of on topic

I recently got rid of bad guys via sff

it made plenty of icons disappear

I have since cleaned my pc and noticed that my c drive isn't showing in my computer

how can I fix that?

as in when i look at my computer with all the drives i see c drive with available memory ?

as in i "used to be able to view my c drive free space and double click into it"

sorry Arf
