Been tryin to change my avatar to a different 1 but every file i try to use says it's too big even though they are smaller than a lot of other user's any chance you can put it up for me i have attached the gif i wanna use for my avatar pretty please

When you try to upload an avatar thats too big, it tells you the allowable maximum size.

How do you make the image with a transparent background or should i say no background?

1. Take a main image and using a lasso tool select the bit you need.

2. Start a new image with the correct dimensions and set its background to transparent.

3. Paste in the selection from img1, tweak to the required scale.

4. Save as gif with transparencies active, or any other format that supports it, PNG etc.

5. Power Wank.

Prefix all of the above with Get Photoshop if needed...
