Watching .bin on a mac

I downloaded a kvcd or two and I have a Macintosh. I can play it with VCD but not fast forward or pause cause it will mess up. At least that's what it seems as I watched a little bit and that describes it. I want to convert it to something normal so I can watch it and give to mom to watch it till the DVD's come out. A simple .avi would be nice. Please I want to convert not burn, or option to do both.
