If you want softsubs, avi container does not support that to my knowledge. hardcoding subs requires a complete re-encode as far as i know. AviRecomp is an easy 1 program solution.

AWRITE FANNY BAWS ?

if you just want to play them use vlc media player and make sure sub is using the same name

if you want to convert it to dvd with the sub then use convert x

it puts it in automatically

I tried that mate and it wouldn't allow the srt file into the tree view box using convertx 3.2.1.55, i did read it would allow me to use this but couldn't figure out why the srt file wouldn't import, i tested it anyways and when keanu is talking to james hong in the resturant in chinese it comes up in russian

Thanks for the info Bakkoda want to try convertx 1st otherwise i will take a look for that program if i can't work out convertx

Why wouldn't you just burn the .avi with the .srt file? Or put it on a flashdrive like that, or in the same folder and then play it? As for adding them to the video, as in hardcoding, idk. I've only ever done that with .sub files.

Dude, just download .mkv files and use XenonMKV to change them to .mp4 (with no re-encoding, only audio remuxing), to play on the 360. It dumbs the audio down to 2-channel stereo, but I can live with that.

Find it here.

It's an amazing program make specifically for the 360, and it's insanely easy to use. :P

You should try GotSent. Pretty sure it keeps 5.1 audio intact. Could be wrong tho as I dont own an xbox.
