Fat32 HFS+
Ok, this kind of belongs in two forums, Computer forum and game forum, So I'm putting it in the Gen forum and if any mod feels the need or urge to have sex with my thread and throw it in the appropriate forum feel free to do so.
I got a 320gb WD External HD for Xmas from my Brother, which I picked out. I immediately plugged it into my pc to try and copy over an 8gb file and it got blooped. I realized quickly that it was because of the file system (Fat32) So I almost reformatted it to NTFS and decided against it and googled my question. I quickly realized NTFS wouldn't work and I'm glad I looked instead of tried.
I found many forum related threads about this same subject, I found that if you format the External HDD with FAT32 HFS+ it can be read by the 360, but not readable by Windows unless you get a nifty little program called Macdrive which is on Windows, bad news it cost $40 So I got a copy from a guy who knows a guy who dates this woman who dates a friend and so on.
So I got the program and formated the Drive, and threw some WMV-HD, Xvid, MP4, and mp3's and so far everything works perfect and so far I've copied over 8gb files without a problem and plays great hooked up to the Shit Box 360.
Works like a charm, Figured I'd share this holiday delight.
