I can kind of understand the thought process behind wanting to "customise" your body to try and make it unique be it via tattoos or piercing (I've got/had both) but this level of body modification does my head in (a bit like the people who cut their fingers off because.. "they were bored with them" or some shit).

I really can't comprehend the mental thought process that makes someone do something like that.

A mate of mine used to read a mag called Bizarre and there were often pictures of this bloke who would slit his stomach open, pull his insides out, and sit in an art gallery for a bit while people had a gander

TBH all this body dysmorphication or whatever completley eludes me. I'm 'on the edge' when I'm getting my hair cut
