vitamin question

lately i ve been trying to eat a better balanced diet...and mostly concentrate on my drinks...for the past 3 months every day ive been drinking roughly -----
a quart of water
a quart of apple juice
a pint of orange juice
and 12 oz of V8

also taking a multivitamin

would i be over doing it on vitamin c or anything else?...i hear that your not supposed to overload on things but i wanted to cut out sweetened sugar drinks like soda and ice teas....

It's a good start cutting out the shitty drinks, but i would concentrate more on the food side of things.

Easy way to start eating more healthily is the most obvious one. Cut right down on processed food. Rule of thumb: If it's been put together in a factory then try to stay away from it.

Taking a multivitamin a day is excellent and you wouldn't need to add any vit c if your drinking pure orange juice every day. I would also recommend taking a cod liver oil capsule a day (one that's high in omega 3)

Also recommend getting your arse down to the gym and lift some heavy things.

thanx ave..i never did really eat crappy food...ive always cooked my own shit and when im at work in the south bronx i eat plenty rice and beans and pork or chicken...salt content comes into question there though...another problem is..puerto ricans dont make vegetables for lunch...thats where the v8 comes in though

ill try cod liver oil...didnt think of that...but now im hearing that multi vitamins in tablet form dont digest fully before your body shits em...

but my question was and still is...i am drinking about 5x the amount of recomended daily vitamin c for a 2000 calorie diet...although i probably eat around 4000-5000 calories a day(based on quantity not fact)...i eat more than twice as much as anybody i have ever known....is that much vitamin c bad for you?

I smell fish ???

The vitamin c won't do you any harm but the citric acid it will play havoc with your teeth.Cod liver oil is good you won't end up with fucked up joints like me. Try eating more fish in your diet ave's spot on about omega oils . Pasta is good also olives and feta cheese.
