Not trying to derail this thread, but why do you want to keep a house phone?

I chose to keep a house-line recently, for your basic shit reasons (emergency, etc.) But really thinking about it, there I have never really called for emergency services before.

Your cellphone plans are far more favourable than ours - a landline here still presents much better value, especially if you want to call overseas. Many landline packages have inclusive call allowances which are better than the cell providers, and of course you don't have to worry about coverage

Back to the subject, I haven't seen a fantastic phone yet Arthur - but whatever you go with I'd strongly advise having Bluetooth on it. I have 'tooth on mine and it made it so much easier to upload my contacts when I changed the phones over. The thought of having to sit there with an address book tapping it all in...

Be interesting to see if that would work over here with the right adapters. I wonder if it uses a separate net connection for the widgets to work?

Edit: I should have read it properly, it works with any ethernet/wireless connection.
