Michael and Alicia are newlyweds. Alicia is keen to have a child and practices techniques that will help her achieve her goal. Sometimes, this frustrates Michael. It is hard to be intimate at specific times, after all. Michael is also pursuing a career in rap music, so at the moment, Alicia is the chief bread winner. Enter Erin. This slimy music executive wants to sign Michael to a contract and steal him away from Alicia. Will these two newly married sweethearts stay together? This movie has some good things going for it. The two stars are very appealing, physically and dramatically. The settings and costumes were chosen well and the soundtrack has some nice moments. However, the language is offensive at times, especially from Mystikal. Touted, as the star of the film, Mystikal actually has a supporting role and his performance is sullen and surly. The plot line also shows a vengeful attitude. For those who would like to view a romantic comedy with African American stars, you might do better with films such as Breakin' All the Rules and Love Jones. However, if you can tune out the bad elements, Alicia and Michael are a head turning couple. Enjoy!
