NOTES: SD-6 version was capped off a digital sat * says in thier nfo * most
likly dishnet ( they air an hdtv signal of cbs abc nbc wb ) Why do u care?
you can see from thier sample and ours that the 2 sources are both widescreen
and both have nice colors. You can also tell in the sd-6 version that thiers
and obscene amount of blending of lines around peoples bodies and other objects
and theirs has a bit more noise than what came with the shooting of the show (
ours contains a bit of grain not to be confused with analouge noise ) Also
ours appears to have a better quality picture ( hdtv rip opposed to hdtv cap )
Last week STN apparently seen this too and they labled thiers PHDTV meaning
pure HDTV in witch thiers is an actual rip from the ATSC HDTV feed not an
capture off of an hdtv feed. Ours is the same as STN uses and seeing as they
did thiers that way we will keep to our name HDTVRiP. Maybe next week SD-6
will go back to using WS.SVCD like they did in the past with thier previous
abc/cbs captures off dishnet. But if they dont we will or stn will most likly
release our encodes from a true hdtv source.
BOTTOM LINE: Basicly in simple terms version is like putting in a [very] nice
quality dvd and captureing it with svideo through a capture card opposed to
say us taking the dvd disc and ripping it through a pc i.e. no analouge conversion
i.e. no lines around ppl when they move. ( also apparent in smallville encodes )
FURTHER NOTE: We this isnt a throw off on sd-6 we share thier same goal of providing
high quality special rips/caps of our favorite tv shows and publicly greet SD-6.
We are only releasing ours publicly due to the fact that ours is a rip and yours
is a cap ( or pvr rip but still not an rip from 1920x1088i to 480x480 ) We would
also like to greet stn and fov for thier continuation of speciality hdtv rips in
svcd format and SFM for thier REAL HDTV/PDTV RiP's in XViD format =).
