The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to
an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads
follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and
Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival.
But they are separated by Allie's parents who
dissaprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move
Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for
several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a
handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with
her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-
year-old home that he built for her, "to see if he's
okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for
each other, and Allie has to choose between her first
love and the man her parents approve of.

We aimed for 3x74 (3x735MB = 2205MB) on this one. But
it compressed too well and although CCE was set right
to max 3 x 74 it came out about 150megs too small. The
quant avg was 2.02 in CCE. This is one of those cases
where we would have liked to have used 2x80 but scene
rules prohibit us from using less than 1600kbps avg
and 3 x 80 isn't possible beause the avg is within
60kbps of the max bitrate. Anyway, CCE was set to 2207
kbps avg and the actual file that it output is somewhere
around 2040 or 2050kbps. So CD3 comes a bit short of
filling a 74 minute blank. Nevertheless, this is a top
notch quality release and it can not be done in any
better quality than this.
