As you can see, this is undoubtedly a true screener.
Sad that we have to go to these lengths to demonstrate what
should be obvious to anyone...
But what some groups *cough*KEG*cough* can't seem to grasp is
that ALL movies that are released to non-theatrical venues
(such as screeners, retail dvds, retail vhs tapes, etc)
start out as telecines, as telecining is the process of
transferring film to another media. Modern telecining
machines do the transfer from film to an enormous hard drive
or to digibeta, and that is what is used to master dvd's,
vhs tapes, etc.
What is important as far as how the scene classifies these
releases is what the TC is used for. If it's a workprint,
then it is labelled WORKPRINT. If, as is clearly the case
here, it is intended as a screener, and it is an industry-
produced DVD, then it is a DVDSCR. Since most scene kiddies
have only the vaguest notion of what a TC really is, and
since almost any release can be considered a TC in some way
or another, it has long been a favorite game of whiny group
members to yell "TC" when they're trying to bash another
group. Since the people reading their nfos also don't really
know what a TC is, they think it makes them look like they
got skills. Really it's just annoying. Why don't you try to
release something other than crap yourselves, rather than
wasting so much energy trying to find something to bitch
about in our releases?
