Part 6 of 6: "The Secrets of the Hieroglyphs"
Six-part dramatised documentary about the discovery of Ancient
Egypt. The concluding part of the story of Jean-Francois
Champollion's struggle to break the code of the hieroglyphs and
bring the lost story of Ancient Egypt to the world. Having made
his breakthrough in developing a hieroglyphic alphabet,
Champollion finally travels to Egypt. But he faces challenges
from the Church, nervous that he might uncover details that
contradict biblical chronology, and from his own failing health.
